This year’s honoree H.E. Saif Ghobash (1932-1977), first UAE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, former ACS parent and trustee, embodied our core values and also exemplified the gala theme, Together We are One….One School, One Community, One World. 

The late Minister was selected because his contributions to the UAE during his career continue to bring together people of all cultures, nationalities, and religions.  We celebrated this icon of international diplomacy, whose contributions to the UAE and world continue to bring together people of all cultures, nationalities, and religions.

The audience viewed a tribute film entitled “Saif Ghobash: A Remarkable Life an Enduring Legacy”.

His immediate family was present to accept the award from H.E. Sheikh Nahayan in a moment during the Year of Tolerance and in ACS history not to be forgotten.

The Annual Gala of ACS includes a special presentation of the ACS Community Leadership Award which honors an individual and/or corporation that embodies ACS Core Values: Curiosity, Courage, Compassion and Integrity.

This year’s posthumous honoree  H.E. Saif Ghobash (1932-1977) not only embodied our core values, but also exemplified this year’s gala theme Together We are One….One School, One Community, One World, celebrating the harmony of 80 nations represented by our school community and our goal of empowering tomorrow's global citizens for a better world.

As UAE’s First Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, father of children who attended ACS, and member of our school board, we deeply recognize his invaluable service and commitment to our school and to the nation.
