ACS Names HE Sheikha Lubna Al Qasimi as 2025 ACS Community Leadership Honoree

Each year, the ACS Community Leadership Award honors an individual, corporation or group that embodies the ACS Core Values: Curiosity, Courage, Compassion and Integrity. This year, we are proud to announce Her Excellency Lubna Bint Khalid Al Qasimi as the 2025 Honoree for her pioneering work in leadership and empowerment, solidifying the importance of the role of women in helping to shape the future of the UAE.  

Her Excellency Sheikha Lubna Bint Khalid Al Qasimi is a visionary leader whose remarkable contributions have shaped the UAE’s economic, humanitarian, and educational landscape.

As the first Emirati woman to hold a ministerial position, Sheikha Lubna continued to shatter barriers from day one and redefine leadership, serving in four key ministerial roles, including Minister of Economy, Minister of Foreign Trade, Minister of International Cooperation and Development, and the world’s first Minister of State for Tolerance. Through her dedication, she played a pivotal role in advancing trade, economic reforms, global humanitarian efforts, and cultural understanding.

Beyond government, Sheikha Lubna has been a champion for education and literacy, serving as President of Zayed University and Vice President of the Kalimat Foundation, empowering future generations through knowledge and opportunity. Recognized among Forbes’ 100 Most Powerful Women, she continues to inspire as a beacon of progress and excellence.
