In 2024-25, the American Community School of Abu Dhabi’s Board of Trustees and Superintendent Monique Flickinger led a community-wide effort to map out the future of ACS.
Town hall conversations among parents, students, faculty, and staff, supported by thoughtful feedback, helped shape the direction of the new strategic plan. The first Town Hall in November 2024 brought together 96 participants, followed by a second Town Hall in January 2025 with 77 participants. In March 2025, a Core Planning Retreat engaged 35 community members in three days of focused planning. The school’s leadership team then collaborated to outline the plan of action, which was approved by the Board in September 2025 and presented to the community on October 2, 2025.
